Project Epsilon — Ansible Automation Platform Modernization

Ansible Automation Platform dashboard showing migrated job templates

The challenge

Key personnel experience of SYNCXELL leadership; not a contract awarded to SYNCXELL LLC.

Automation ran on an aging Ansible Tower installation. Playbooks, inventories and credentials had grown over time, and the platform had to move to a supported Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform release while operations teams kept relying on their scheduled jobs.

Our solution

Inventoried existing job templates, inventories, credentials and schedules, then refactored playbooks into version-controlled roles and collections. Ansible Automation Platform was stood up alongside Tower and workloads were moved in planned waves, each job validated before its Tower equivalent was retired. Role-based access and credential handling were reviewed as part of the move.

The outcome

Automation runs on a supported Ansible Automation Platform release, with version-controlled content and documented access controls, and the migration followed a planned, validated sequence.
