Project Alpha — Federal Civilian Infrastructure Security

The challenge

Key Personnel Past Performance. The capabilities and project milestones described below reflect the past performance of SYNCXELL’s executive leadership and senior engineering staff across 17 years of cross-domain IT engineering, and are presented in accordance with FAR 15.305. They are not presented as contracts awarded to SYNCXELL LLC as an entity.

Diverse Linux estates spanning Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Debian, Rocky Linux and Oracle Linux had drifted from their security baselines. Patching was manual and inconsistent, and demonstrating continuous compliance against DISA STIG benchmarks was consuming significant engineering time at each assessment cycle.

Our solution

Engineered custom Ansible playbooks to automate patching, package cleanup and system updates across the full mixed-distribution fleet. Translated DISA STIG benchmarks into idempotent, automated configuration baselines so that every provisioned server was compliant by construction rather than remediated after the fact. Ran continuous vulnerability assessment using SCAP and Nessus, feeding findings back into the automation pipeline.

The outcome

Configuration baselines became reproducible and auditable across the estate, and STIG compliance evidence could be produced on demand instead of assembled by hand. Vulnerability remediation shifted from a periodic manual exercise to a continuous, automated process.
